The Director oversees all HR activities with the support of our Payroll & Benefits Administrator and HR Assistant with direct reporting to the Executive Team.

Responsibilities:
Administer or oversee the administration of human resources programs including, but not limited to:
compensation, benefits, and leave management disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations performance and talent management productivity, recognition, and morale occupational health and safety; training and development.
compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Serves as subject-matter expert for all HR functions and provides support and guidance to executive leadership, management, and other staff when complex, specialized and/or sensitive issues arise.
Identifies and implements improvements to core HR functions using a continuous improvement mindset Establishes, maintains, and controls personnel records, files, and other confidential materials with a high degree of professionalism Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversees and/or conducts employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Assists in keeping associates informed of all changes in HR policies, counsels with associates on HR policies and procedures.
Drives performance-appraisal, merit-increase and other core HR processes related to compensation Liaison to new and existing employees in explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards Invites a high degree of collaboration and partnership with other employees at all levels.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
